PERSONAL CARE AIDES – JOB ORDER NUMBER – NY1083044

JOB SUMMARY:

Seeking professional, compassionate, reliable personal care aides to provide in home and community based

services to persons with Traumatic Brain Injury, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities in the Cortland

area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must be able to work weekends, evenings or overnights. Certifications as a Personal Care Aide

(PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) are a plus but ElderChoice will train

qualified candidates. Please include your certificate number when applying so the business may verify your

certification on the DOL Home Care Registry. Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.

Candidate must be able to read and comprehend any correspondence in regard to individuals being cared

for. The Department of Health also requires all staff to have proof of a physical within one year and certain

vaccinations, including an annual PPD, MMR, etc. Reference check, security check and physical exam are

also required.

HOURS:

Full time, permanent positions are available.

WAGES:

$9.50 per hour.

BENEFITS:

Benefits are available. $300 sign on bonus for qualified pre-certified HHAs, PCAs and CNAs.

Elderchoice will be holding two information sessions at the Cortland Works Career Center, 99 Main Street,

Cortland, NY on Wednesday April 16, 2014. One session will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The other

session will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. You must arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting to

be considered for employment. Dress for success and bring resume with you.
