Beats by Dre is a California-based consumer electronics company whose products enable consumers to enjoy music at its max. The company produces premium consumer headphones, earphones, speakers and accessories, as well as music subscription service. Their products and services give consumers premium sound entertainment.




Interns with an ear for music will find opportunities in technology, such as software engineering. In this position, they will be able to work on a game audio research project at the company’s headquarters in beautiful Santa Monica, California. Interns work about 20 hours per week. Other positions at the company may include finance, marketing, social media, communications, sales, product management and more.


The company was founded in 2008 by Dr. Dre and by Jimmy Iovine, Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records. The company’s flagship product, introduced in 2008, is Beats By Dr. Dre revolutionary Studio Headphone, followed by other products such as the HP Envy notebook with Beats Audio, and the Beatbox iPod dock.
