NYS FAIRGROUNDS 
SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2014 
10:00 AM TO 1:00 PM 

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Division of the State Fair, 
is seeking individuals who are interested in temporary, seasonal employment for the 
2014 New York State Fair summer season that runs April to September 2014. 

 Employment Applications will be accepted and qualified candidates will be 
 interviewed for: 

General Mechanic: Hourly Hiring Rate: $18.86 
Minimum Qualifications: Four years of full-time experience 
 in a trade under a skilled journey-level position which would 
 provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship 
 program. Apprentice training in a trade or training gained 
 by the completion of technical courses in a trade at a 
 school, institute or branch of the Armed Services may be 
 substituted for the above experience on a year-for-year basis. 

 Qualified candidates, who are selected for a General Mechanic 
 position, will be required to complete employment paperwork 
 at the Job Fair. You must bring the following documentation 
 to complete the employment paperwork: 

ļ‚· A valid U.S. Passport, or 
ļ‚· A driverā€™s license, and 
ļ‚· An original social security card.
