Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Internships offer students both paid and unpaid internship opportunities within a government agency focused on providing security within the nationā€™s transportation system. Some internships may lead to permanent employment after graduation.

Eligible students must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in an accredited U.S. high school, technical school, college or university. They must have a grade point average of 2.0 or above. Three different internship programs are available.

The Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) is a paid internship that offers work experience within a studentā€™s field of study. The Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) is also a paid internship that allows students to explore career opportunities within the TSA. The Student Volunteer Service Program (SVSP) is an unpaid career training opportunity for credit that enables students to develop the professional skills they need in their career area.

TSA is a government agency that is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for the nationā€™s airports, including enforcement of security measures such as screening passengers and baggage at commercial airlines.

The location is usually in DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
