TRANSPORTATION PLANNING SPECIALIST TRAINEES NEEDED

PennDOT is in need of Transportation Planning Specialist Trainees in Dauphin County.
You will participate in a comprehensive 12 month on-the-job training program designed to develop technical proficiency. Your training assignments will include learning to develop and monitor a schedule of transportation projects; to compile and analyze traffic and transportation data and use transportation systems such as the Geographic Information System (GIS); to review proposed legislation as it relates to projects; and to prepare written and oral reports. Initial assignments are performed under close supervision. As you gain competency, you will be given more independence and responsibility.
Annual Salary Range: $38,866 - $59,071
If you successfully complete the 12 month training period, you will be promoted to Transportation Planning Specialist with an increase in salary.
Minimum Requirements
A bachelorā€™s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, planning, computer science, or geography; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
