1. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Internship provides a paid career development opportunity for students from high school, undergraduate and graduate students. 2. Subaru Advanced Internship in Manufacturing Program is open to students in Indiana with an interest in Computer Integrated Manufacturing. The internship program results in students being able to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology from Purdue College of Technology that is paid for by Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. 3. USA Jobs Pathways Programs offers internships for students interested in working for the federal government. 4. National Eye Institute Summer Internship Program is offered to high school students and college students interested in a career in medical research. The internship is offered through the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
   

   Eligible students must be at least 16 years old at the start of the internship and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. 5. J. Craig Venter Institute Internship Program is open to high school students as well as college undergraduate and graduate students. Internship positions are available in science as well as communications, library and environmental health and safety areas.
   

   Internships are offered during the summer and during semesters. The Summer Internship Program is a full-time employment program with students working 40 hours per week. The Semester Internship Program is a 12-week, part-time employment program with students working no more than 20 hours per week. 6. Roosevelt University Entrepreneurship Academy gives high school juniors and seniors an opportunity to learn more about entrepreneurship and owning a business. The academy is open to qualified students with strong math, science and technology skills and an interest in entrepreneurship.
   

   The academy is offered by the Roosevelt University Walter E. Heller College of Business and consists of a five-day, green-tech focused training session that teaches students the skills necessary to become high-tech business entrepreneurs. Sessions are taught by Walter E. 7. Internships at NASA Goddard offer learning opportunities for high school, undergraduate and graduate students. It is designed for students with an interest in science, engineering and technology. Eligible high school students must have knowledge of computer applications. 8. USDA Internship Program provides paid work experience for high school students as well as college students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. Eligible students must be at least 16 years old and in good academic standing. Interns may work full-time or part-time. Many internship positions are available that match student academic career goals or field of study. In addition to work experience, students may be eligible for a permanent job in the civil service after they complete the program. 9. Smithsonian Science Education Center Internship Program accepts high school students who are at least 16 years old, as well as current college undergraduate and graduate students. Internships for high school students are unpaid.
   

   Internships are for 10 weeks during the summer. Students will learn about the Smithsonian, science, and the important role science plays in education. 10. Library of Congress Work Study Program for High School Students accepts applications at any time for high school students interested in working part-time at the world’s largest library. Both paid and unpaid positions are offered.

11. Summer Internship Program In Biomedical Research (SIP) is available to college students interested in a paid summer work opportunity at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This is an exceptional opportunity for students to spend eight weeks with some of the world’s leading scientists.
    

    The 8-week program takes place at several NIH laboratories located in five different states. The program includes workshops and lectures, plus exposure to the field of biomedical research. Eligible students must be enrolled at least half-time in high school or a U.S. accredited college or university. 12. Federal Government Internships – U.S. Department of Agriculture offers both paid and unpaid work opportunities for high school, and both undergraduate and graduate students. Students in this internship will work in the agriculture, science, technology, math, environmental and business fields within the USDA.
    

    Qualifying students may be high school students planning to attend a U.S. college or university, or current college undergraduates and
    
    graduates.
