03/28 - New York City - Hiring Our Heroes Today 2012


Join us March 28, 2012 from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for a job fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military members, Guard and Reserve members and eligible spouses at the U.S.S. Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, Pier 86, West 46th Street & 12th Avenue, New York, NY.

This event will be a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair for both employers and job seekers.

This event will be open to employers who are committed to hiring our veterans and to veteran job seekers, active duty military members, Guard and Reserve members, and eligible spouses.
The U.S.S. Intrepid is on the West Side and is easily accessible from all points of New York City metropolitan area.

Job seeker access begins at 6:00 AM on March 28th. We encourage all job seekers to come early in order to be eligible to win one of the 10 $500 Banana Republic gift card being offered at 6:45 AM.
The hiring fair begins promptly at 7:00 AM and concludes at 3:00 PM. Capital One will be conducting a free financial literary workshop throughout the day and General Electric is offering a free resume and interview workshop for veterans as a part of their GE Veterans Network Transition Assistance Program.

This hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in partnership
with Capital One, The Today Show, the Call of Duty Endowment, Entergy, General Electric, Monster/Military.com, NBC News, Banana Republic, the Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Services (DOL VETS), the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve(ESGR), the New York State Department of Labor, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, NYCares, and the American Legion, and other local partners.
