The Houston Job Fair on May 18th, 2011 will be held at the home of the Houston Astros - Minute Maid Park! There will be companies in attendance with immediate hiring needs as well as career resources to help you with your job search.

-Admission and parking to this event is FREE!
-Effective Resume Development and Interview Techniques provided by the Houston Area Urban League
-Bring a non-perishable food item for the Houston Food Bank
-Why waste gas and time driving around looking for the job of your dreams? Meet with HR Representatives from some of Houston's top companies!

Advice for job seekers:
What to wear? - Dress to impress!
Your first impression is very important.
Dress as you would for an interview.

What to do at the job fair:
-Bring 20-30 copies of your resume
-Have a positive attitude, smile and show enthusiasm!
-Walk up to each company, introduce yourself, shake their hand, offer them your resume and tell them about yourself.

-Remember that these people WANT to meet you! Tell them about your previous successes. Let them know exactly how you would be an asset to their organization.
